Mountaineering within the mountains of Korea is a pleasing and widespread pastime. Right here on Jeju Island we're lucky to have a jewel in that crown: Hallasan Mountain, a UNESCO World Pure Heritage website. 

There are 5 routes that wind their approach up Hallasan, two that go to the highest (1,950m which require reservations) and three extra that go many of the approach and supply spectacular views nonetheless. 

That is what the 5.8-km Yeongsil trail (as much as Witse Oreum @ 1,700m) appeared like final Saturday.

Setting off from the doorway at 6 a.m., the climate held till round mid-day. The snack within the snow — ramen, kimchi (not pictured), and “Pink Hyang” Jeju mandarin selection — was a lot extra tasty there!
