DOT trains Virgin Island Service Providers on Filipino Brand of Service Excellence

VIRGIN ISLAND, Panglao, Bohol — The Division of Tourism by the Area 7 (Central Visayas) Workplace, in coordination with the Bohol Tourism Workplace and the Municipality of Panglao, on Wednesday (August 10), performed coaching on The Filipino Model of Service Excellence (FBSE) to service suppliers working in Virgin Island in Panglao, Bohol.

Initiated by the DOT upon receiving data on the alleged overpricing of meals served to vacationers on the island, the coaching was attended by a complete of thirty-four (34) individuals comprised of meals stall homeowners and their workers, in addition to representatives of the Panglao Island Protected Seascape Protected Space Administration Board.

It may be recalled that Tourism Secretary Maria Christina Garcia-Frasco introduced plans to facilitate an inter-agency technical working group that goals to strengthen the capability of micro-entrepreneurs to offer high quality tourism providers. Based on the tourism chief, the FBSE, a banner program of the DOT, has been performed for people, small and medium enterprises, and world-recognized institutions serving the vacationer market.

“We're grateful to our individuals for displaying the willingness to be taught and partake in a tourism business that's sustainable, inclusive, and socially accountable. We additionally thank our companions from the general public sector, notably the Bohol Tourism Workplace and the Municipality of Panglao, for partnering with the DOT to uplift the service supply of tourism employees on Virgin Island. Ms. Alice Queblatin, President of the Cebu Alliance of Tour Operations Specialists (CATOS) and Licensed FBSE Coach, mentioned the principle matters of the seminar, specifically Service Excellence, 7Ms of Filipino Values, and Understanding Visitor Wants and Service Restoration.

In the meantime, the individuals acknowledged the necessity to enhance service supply and expressed appreciation for the hassle expended by program facilitators. The seminar was capped off by the individuals' recitation of a pledge signifying their dedication to upholding FBSE as they perform their duties.
